Mango is one of the best sources of a full complement of nutrition

Numerous scientific studies have confirmed that the mango is one of the best sources of a full complement of nutrition and is ripe to be developed as a series of food and nutritional products utilizing the entire mango. Our innovation is entering a virgin market with only one company globally that has focused on the value addition of “mango waste”. They are in the Philippines and have a narrow product focus. There are only a few small companies selling mango flour which sells for $2.50 pre ounce. Our company mission is to disrupt the industry’s wasteful process of discarding mangos and to establish an industry that utilizes the full product potential of the mango. This new approach will provide nutrition to undernourished populations and a vital new source of nutrition and a series of food and health products.

We have launched the business and received great participation from local farmers, wholesalers, and pulp and juice producers. We started collecting and processing mangos locally and have salvaged, collected and processed over 10,000 mangos in our first two weeks. We have established a suitable price and an efficient system of awareness and collection from farmers within four KM of our shamba. This gives us an enormous opportunity to rapidly build our production capacity. Also, we will be able to process mangos year-round because Mombasa, Wote, and other areas of Kenya have alternate production seasons.

The unusable meat and shell will be used as a green matter for our organic fertilizer and the seed, good pulp and skin will be dried along with the good meat to make a variety of products for weight loss; Detoxification; and numerous food, drink and dessert recipes, The huge verity of food, nutritional, health, culinary and clinical benefits are derived from the mango. The final product development and production of a wide range of food and nutritional products will be outsourced locally or by our partner.

We are now identifying local potential product manufacturers who can do the R&D. produce and package the various products that we will develop. We have also identified and begun to contact the major global companies in the health, nutraceuticals, food, and personal care industries to advise them of our unique patented process and products. We seek their support as product development partners, distributors, and buyers of our expansive range of food and health products from mangoes. Another major source of project income will be derived from licensing our patented system to companies producing mangoes who want to produce their own line of products.

We are identifying major local businesses and food security organizations that would-be buyers of our food and health products to support local and refugee populations. Our first production priorities are flour, energy powder, cereals, vitamins and energy bars. Followed by toothpaste, a weight loss product, skin & hair care products digestion aid, and an immune booster. There are over 40 viable products available to be produced. The mango seed meat has the look and texture of a chicken nugget which ais highly desired in the AP industry. There are numerous recipes for the mango and our food products will be introduced as a delicacy “Mango Passion!
